Coolin View

Located near the center of Portree it has a great view of the iconic colorful row houses and is easy to access. Parking onsite is convenient and it is a short walk to the center of town. Rooms are clean and recently renovated, but not especially luxurious. Prices for us were great and I would recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in Skye.

Everything you needed in your room, and a comfortable bed. If you are eating out, don't get into the big queues on the harbour, the Chinese next door is open, although you wouldn't think so, seating upstairs looking over the harbour. Great having parking available at the coolin view because parking around the town is chaotic until you find the massive parking area behind the shops near the little roundabout heading from town .

This accommodation is well situated for easy access to the centre of Portree . I stayed in a room at the front of the property and had great views across the loch.

enjoyed the whole day, i booked it for a night, everything was available within the room, kettle, heating, fan, cloth hanging space, hair dryer, like each and everything of everyday use, very comfortable, i booked room9 that had a beautiful view of portree harbour from the window, recommended.

Coolin View offers a very cozy room with a TV and a private shower, perfect for a comfortable stay. It's conveniently located close to the town center and local tourist attractions, which makes exploring the area easy and enjoyable. The property also has parking spaces available, which is always a plus. Overall, I really liked my stay and would happily return!

Simple nice quiet rooms in heart of Portree with parking across street. Hard to find good place for reasonable price in center or town and definitely would stay at Coolin View again!

It was better than I expected. I stayed in room 3, and it was pretty nice. The bed is okay for one person, the bathroom is fairly big, and the room has a small window facing a brick wall — obviously not the best view of the pier, but still pleasant to have. We even had a big storm in Portree this week and the room was almost silent with the window closed. The furniture (like the bedside table and drawers) looked a bit old, but I didn’t really mind. The check-in process was easy, and the location couldn’t be better: just a minute away from all the restaurants.

My daughter and really enjoyed our stay at Coolin Views Guest house. The location was ideal to explore the Isle of Skye and a quick walk to anything we wanted in town (groceries, coffee, shopping, restaurants). We had a view facing the harbor (room #4) which was lovely and felt larger than anticipated. There were limited parking spaces, but even during a busy weekend, we had no trouble getting a spot both nights. The room was spacious enough for the two of us, and stocked with any basic necessity in the updated bathroom, as well as shortbread, tea, instant coffee, mugs and a kettle. ***most importantly, the bed was comfortable and felt big enough for the both of us. I appreciated the self check in and out since we arrived late. It felt pricy for just a room, but it was also Easter weekend, but honestly it was one of the cheapest options. We were really pleased with our stay.
